As character vocals go, I'm such a Rana fan. As much as SynthV is delightful, there's a certain character and sound that's lost once you stray too far from the vocaloid-type synthesis.

I wonder if anyone will realize how much of a nerd I am for VTubers. I feel like my YT audience might not vibe with that, but that's okay! I feel like there's very little overlap between DR and VT fans. I don't yuck others yums so I hope that energy comes back. Everyone in my Youtube comments is super nice, anyway.

EDIT 09/28/26 - I found an old voice note of me singing the legendary theme after 3/4 of a bottle of wine. This is how much of a freak I am for this game. And the fact that VTubers are getting perms from KOEI to play the game??? Miss Mori Calliope??? Since when could you play that??? The fact the soundtrack got dropped on Spotify alongside it?!?!?! I dunno, I FEEL it! I HOPE! I shall yell the lyrics to Dokusho no Susume like a summoning ritual. Honestly, if a second one never releases I'm totally just gonna bite the bullet and make the Gitaroo-style storybased rhythm game of my dreams.

Need to get my first game out though before I start going crazy. I actually pitched the game overview to my college friends on a powerpoint night, as well as making a crappy mockup of the final cutscene I imagined in Blender. I always overdid powerpoint nights.

If you ever have an excessive amount of free time, I recommend looking into old SNES soundtracks. I've been enjoying a lot of this weird Addams Family series - the scavenger hunt one. The soundchips(?) lend it such a cozy lofi feeling in general. I find it hard to bop to NES music the same way I can SNES. I guess the difference is how SUPER it is!

I feel like calling the Freedom Motif is just a holdover from the CH1-2 fandom era. Considering the trashy gang fight had it, I don't think it's THAT sacred thematically. I'm in the middle of writing a video about this - once I finish writing the other 5 freaking things I'm writing. I love having ADHD. It's all a web of stuff in my mind.
